State Political Director - Betty Brim-Hunter
Brim-Hunter is the State Political Director for the AFL-CIO in Iowa. She is a long-standing member of CWA Local 7102. She served as VP of her Local for 15 years. Brim-Hunter was a member of the bargaining committee on 3 different occasions and was legislative chair for the Local for approximately 10 years. Prior to becoming State Political Director, she was employed by DEX Yellow Pages for 21 years. She has also been the Legislative Director and lobbyist for the IBEW Iowa State Conference for 3 years. She was an elected member of the Iowa State Democratic Central Committee for 3 terms and is currently Vice-Chair of the Polk County Democratic Party.
Brim-Hunter is married to State Representative Bruce Hunter.

Communications Dirctor - Lance Coles
Lance Coles was hired as the Communication Director for the Iowa Federation of Labor, March 2, 2012. He is on the IFL News Board, Executive Board Member of the South Central Iowa Federation of Labor, President of the Iowa State Labor Press Association, Past President of the Des Moines Iowa Area Local APWU, Past Chairperson of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) President’s Conference; Editor of the Iowa Postal Workers Union news paper, board member of the APWU Postal Press Association, and on the Board of Directors for the First Class Credit Union.
He recently retired from the U.S. Postal Service after working there 34 years. Lance Graduated from DMACC in the 1982 and Iowa State in 1986 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. He served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1977. He does free lance photography and writing in his spare time.

WIN Organizer - Ben Murry
Murry was hired by the Iowa Federation of Labor in May as a Political Organizer for the Working Iowa Neighbors (WIN) program. He is a proud member of the United Steelworkers and serves as their State Political Coordinator and lobbyist. At his home local, USW 310L, he sits on the COPE committee and has been the newsletter editor for the last 7 years. Murry lives in Madrid with his wife, Heather, and their two daughters.

Bookkeeper - Jamie Miller
Miller was hired in 2002 as the bookkeeper of the Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO. She is a member of CWA Local 7102 in Des Moines. Prior to becoming the bookkeeper, she was employed by District Council 81, IUPAT Local 246 for 3 years and was a member of OPEIU.
Miller is married and has two sons.
