The Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO endorses candidates who support working family issues.  Central Labor Councils from around Iowa recommend candidates for endorsement based on evaluations and candidate responses to questionnaires.   These recommendations are considered and acted upon by representatives of affiliated local unions, state organizations and central labor councils at a state wide convention.  

The COPE Pre-Primary convention will be held on March 25, 2006 at the United Steelworkers (USW) 310 hall in Des Moines.  The hall is located at 125 NW Broadway.
